As the seasons change, a top priority is a shift in my skincare routine. I sometimes change my mind on fashions, going back and forth on whether to wear or not to wear some items, but dedication to my health and skincare never wavers.
A few weeks ago, I started using Countermatch Pure Calm Cleansing Milk on my face in the shower. It is a very gentle non-foaming cleanser. My skin is more delicate now, so I am avoiding any abrasive exfoliants and face cleansers that foam. They can damage the surface of my skin and take away too much of the natural oils. When we wash our hair too often with a harsh shampoo, it starts to look dry and brittle. The same thing can happen to our skin and nails. Think about your hands after you forget to put on gloves before cleaning up in the kitchen.

As I mentioned above, I avoid abrasive exfoliants, but I do need something to help with flakiness around my nose and mouth. My skin tends to be more oily in the T-Zone during the summer and much drier in the winter months. I never use the same summer products in the winter. Another new item I tried in my last Beautycounter purchase is the Overnight Resurfacing Peel.

I’m looking forward to trying these. Yesterday I received the Precise Brush and Poppy lipstick you recently recommended and love both.
I just ordered these two products from your blog and can’t wait to get them. I’ve been very happy with the Beauty Counter products you’ve recommended so far. Thank you!
Yay! I hope you do enjoy them. I’ve also been very happy with my products.
I’ve been pleased with this peel. I also just received the brightening lotion and nourishing day cream – both have made an immediate improvement in my skin – thank you so much for sharing your recommendation on these recently.
The Overnight Resurfacing Peel is a game changer! I have been using this product for a couple months now and my skin has never looked better! Beauty Counter is a wonderful chemical free product line!
I’m so glad you are happy. My skin has certainly benefited from changing to this brand of skincare.
Susan,
Do you have a recommendation for shampoo and conditioner for hair that is beginning to be drier on the ends as I age? I am 58.
Thanks!
