Revaluating my skincare as the weather changes is a necessity. If I keep my winter routine when the humidity returns, my face will break out often. I’ve updated this post to include links to the skincare products I use now.
My Beautycounter site is here (I signed up to be a consultant in 2017). The skincare products I use now are here. The peppermint lip conditioner is here. The Overnight Resurfacing Peel is here. The brow color in gray is here. The Radiant All Over Bronzer is here. Sunscreen for the body is here. The sunscreen I use on my face is here. (I apply sunscreen first.)
Your skin is beautiful and you do not appear to have any redness or uneven pigmentation! You are lucky you can go “au naturel”. For many of us who do need a little something to even out our skin color, what would you recommend? A light BB or CC tinted moisturizer with zinc and/or titanium oxide?
Wow! What a glow you have with your few steps!
Susan, what sunscreen do you use on your face and what step do you put it on your face? Before or after which step? Thank you. I really feel the Beauty Counter products have enhanced my 70 skin. So glad I found your information on it about a year ago.
I only use sunscreen when I plan to be outside for more than just a few minutes. When I use it, I apply it first. This is the one I use on my face and this is the one I spray on my body.
Hi Susan, Your skin looks amazing! Does Beauty Counter offer any fragrance-free products that you have tried and liked? I can’t use scent. I would like to try their skincare and a good moisturizer. Thanks. 🙂
There are no added fragrances nor does Beautycounter do any animal testing. Any aroma is very light and is present because of the natural elements in the formulas.
Thanks Susan for information regarding summer make up.
I have a query for you – Before a person puts on moisturiser on the face does she put on suncream first. Your video did not show that
How do you use the stick sun screen? Also, I have an outdoor job and I need to look “made up” or put together for our guests. I noticed you don’t use foundation. I use a foundation with sunscreen but open to any advice! And I have the same eyebrow problem…so sad for us. Thank you for all your help!
I use the stick on my face so that I can control where it goes. I don’t want to get it in my eyes or inhale the spray. The Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation may be the answer to your foundation needs.
Hi Susan,
This is very timely! I switched to a botanical oil last fall, and loved it all winter. But as the temps have warmed, I’m finding its too too much. I tend toward oily skin in the summer. I’m wondering what the difference is between the nourishing and countermatch lines. I don’t think I need the counter control, and rejuvenating may be the right one, but I’m trying to decide among the different lines.
Thanks for any info you have. And for your inspiring posts.
Debra
Hi Susan,
Love your videos! You are such a classy lady. One question I have about your skin care regimen. Do you put any special eye cream under your eyes in the daytime? I saw your last step where you placed a little on the eye corner and on upper cheekbone. Thanks!
Absolutely love your blog. You are an inspiration to someone who will be turning 70 shortly. I’m getting ready to place an order and was wondering which shade of the Radiant All-Over Bronzer you would recommend for a blue-eyed blonde with medium fair skin.
I think one of the biggest beauty routines is to get adequate sleep. You don’t appear to have to deal with dark circles. Do you have a sleep routine you can share and any recommended product to diminish dark circles? Thanks!
I turn off all screens by 7 PM, usually go to bed by 9 PM and rise at about 4 AM. I take C, D, and B-complex vitamins as well as krill oil supplements. This combination has worked wonders for my sleep patterns. I almost always go to bed with an empty stomach because I have never been able to sleep well after a late evening meal.
Thank you for your answers. But I meant to ask, how do you actually use the stick? Not familiar. Do you “draw” it on your face and then rub it in? Thank you, again!
Susan, I have been following you for several weeks now. I turned 73 yesterday and I’m struggling with whether to stop dying my hair. I have stopped dying my hair twice in my life in the last 10 years, and each time I decided I wasn’t ready. After seeing orange hair on a women yesterday, I found myself asking this question: “What? Isn’t God’s design for you not good enough?” I stopped cold and said to myself, “Hey, you dye your hair!! What’s the difference what color it is. Dying is dying, and it changes what we look like. I decided that God knows best for me in EVERYTHING. That means how I look today. So I am looking at you and how beautiful you are. You have inspired me to let me be me. Please continue. We ‘Beauties of Age” need all the cheering on we can get!! Thanks, Susan.
Hi, Would love to know what color bobbi brown eyebrow pencil you use. I can’t tell which is gray or taupe. Thank you! I also have gray hair and need something lighter. I so enjoy your blog.
It’s gray. I tried both colors, and the gray is better. Also, check with Merle Norman. They have similar gray pencils that are just as awesome for less than half the price.
Do you use the same eye cream for all seasons? I saw the link here for the nourishing eye cream ($37) and then I had looked up on the beauty counter website and saw another eye cream that was $69 but I can’t remember the name of it.
I am 62 with normal, fair skin (auburn hair) and am looking for a new eye cream for wrinkles, etc.
Your skin looks fantastic and would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Try the Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation here.
Can’t get link to video to work for some reason
I’m sorry! We are working on that problem. Please visit the link. It takes you to YouTube where you should be able to view the video.
Thank you…….got it !
Susan,
You look great and just wondering if you get any botox?
I have not tried botox.
Wow! What a glow you have with your few steps!

I also am interested in the same question as Karen. What sunscreen do you use and when do you apply it?
Please look at the blog post again. I added the links to sunscreen.

Thanks for all the advice which is great,

Yes, I start with sunscreen first.
Love your short hair!
Susan, I turned 60 last week!
Happy Birthday!

The Rejuvenating line is rich and gentle to apply or use and is formulated to diminish the effects of aging. It also smells wonderful.

Yes, I use the Nourishing eye cream during the day.

Surf is a natural looking tone for those of us with medium cool/blue undertones and blue eyes.

I use the stick to “draw” the placement and then gently blend it in. It goes on dry and smooth. Not greasy or shiny at all.
Thank you for recommending the Bobbi Brown gray eye brow pencil. I would never have selected that shade, but it works perfectly. Thanks again. Sunny

I use the Countertime eye cream all year round.
