Red & White Wins

If you’ve been looking for a soft, comfortable bright red top to add to your spring/summer wardrobe, I’ve found it for you. You’re welcome!

The new tops from Covered Perfectly are here. When you buy two tops, the third one is free! (Or use the code FNF20 to get 20% off one or two items.) Only one promotion will work.

Cool, soft and truly comfortable, this top will be in regular rotation this spring and summer.

The pull-on white jeans are by Liverpool Jeans Co. here. The shoes are by Sam Edelman from last year. (similar) The bag is also from last year. (similar) When wearing a top with a detailed neckline, I add large earrings (similar) and a bold bracelet (here) instead of a necklace. 1. Thank you for doing the leg work Susan, it’s a perfect red top! Love white with red pops in summer, I feel “out there”.
Hugs for a happy bank holiday Monday, Mary.

  2. Ohhh, love everything about this look. I’ve ordered from Covered Perfectly before and been very happy with the purchase. Guess I’ll have to head back over there and check out what else is new. You look fabulous as usual!

  3. I had seen the tops on their website and wasn’t impressed until seeing it on you. I just ordered in all three available colors. Thank you.

  4. Hi Susan,
Thanks for your service to our country.
I love your outfit today and I love the covered perfectly tops.
I am 5’2 and unfortunately they do not come in petite sizing.
Altering them is not cost effective for me.

  5. Susan, may I ask if you are wearing the Shapeze Ultimate tank underneath the red shirt? I don’t see any bulges at all.

  6. Do you wear the Ultimate tank with molded cups? I have two of the silkee tankees, but have not tried the molded cups because I didn’t want to add more to my Bust!!

  7. Hi Susan, you always look lovely in Covered Perfectly tops. I have a few of the micro-modal collection and I love how light and comfortable they are. They’re also great for layering. I SO wish they had a petite line as I’ve had to get all of my tops shortened. I’m 5’1″ and they come down to my thighs! If you have any “pull” with the company, please let them know. I see this request in the reviews for many of their products. I love your blog!

  8. I just want to add that the Shapeez Ultimate bras are very comfortable. I have very heavy breasts and slept in them for 28 consecutive nights when my husband was in the hospital. Before I learned about these from Susan, my bra came off the minute I was home.

  9. I love a lot of the Covered Perfectly tops, however, after trying to order 3 times and not having my order go through, I have stopped thinking of buying from them. To bad as I really liked the ones I had ordered. Pauline was very nice and even called me to help but somehow the site doesn’t connect when I try. No one else seems to have that problem or they just don’t bother to let you know. Anyway, I think you do an excellent job of updating us seniors to the fashion world. Thank you.

  10. Such a pretty look! Glad to see you model this top, as I’ve been thinking about ordering it! Does look like a winner! Would love to try some white pull-on jeans, too! The ones I have are a little hot and restrictive in the warm/hot weather!

  11. Susan, the top that you have on looks looser on you than model at order sight. I want mine to be loose like yours. Do you order a larger size?

  12. Thanks for the lead on this top. I ordered it in the blue (I have reddish hair so harder to pull off the red). Looking forward to pairing it with a pair of Athleta white jeggings I just purchased. Thanks for your shopping tips!

  13. Love this red on you and the style too. I have ordered several of the styles you have shown on My Fair Lady.com and Covered Perfectly and love them. The fabrics from both places never wrinkle and are so cool and comfortable. Thank you so much for all your information and tips. I look forward to your blogs….and by the way I too have changed my way of eating as you did, and I was just able to get off of three different strengths of blood pressure medicine and lost 10 lbs. So thankful to you sharing with us all.

  14. Susan, My first time looking at fashion bloggers tonight and I just turned 75!
I have needed some guidance, however, because I am 75, but look 62, as you are.
Hesitation to buy tops, jackets, even jeans, screens to me, because I have this idea
I don’t want to dress too young…because I am not anymore. I live in
Charleston, SC, so there’s no shortage of fine women’s stores.

I would like to follow your blog, maybe your selections would give me a guide.
I watched your makeup demonstration, and seen your pictures. You look much brighter
with the brighter lipsticks, but that may be just me, ecause I prefer them on me.

I blogged for five years as Fifty, not Frumpy. Now that I am in my sixties, I am sharing ideas and inspiration for using and loving what you already have.

Thank you!
