The Grandfather Vineyard & Winery

Too soon, it was time to leave the Westglow Resort and take the drive back to Johnson City.

On our travel day, I wore the black three-quarter-length sleeve top and basic crepe pants from the collection that I started carrying for you. You can find your sizes here.

The white jacket is by Calvin Klein from Stein Mart. The square scarf is folded on the diagonal, wrapped around twice and tied loosely. I knew there were be a variety of temperatures today, so a jacket I could remove was a good idea. The bag is old from Express. The shoes are by Cira Joan & David via Saks Off 5th.

One of our favorite views along the way is the beloved Grandfather Mountain. We have often seen the signs for the Grandfather Vineyard & Winery and commented that we need to visit it. We are so glad we stopped there upon the recommendation of one of the guests at Westglow, whose family owns the vineyard. It was a delightful place to spend the afternoon tasting wines and listening to music.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing photos from our wonderful weekend away. Thank you for joining Mr. Mickey and me on this journey through midlife and beyond. The second fifty years are truly the best!

  1. I really enjoy reading your blog and look forward to hearing about all the fun things you do as well as what you are wearing! You are an inspiration!

  2. Love seeing the NC shots – I moved about15 months ago from Charlotte, to the Texas panhandle. I miss the trees, knowing the mountains are nearby….but I am enjoying my small town life and slower pace.

I blogged for five years as Fifty, not Frumpy. Now that I am in my sixties, I am sharing ideas and inspiration for using and loving what you already have.

Thank you!
