More On The Way!

The launch of the Basics Collection from my shop in navy blue was so successful that several sizes have already sold out. You may place your orders now, and I will ship as soon as the products arrive. I have added more quantities than I currently have, but another shipment should be here by Monday. You can also sign up on the description pages to be notified when the new shipments arrive.

You may write to me through the contact tab above if you have questions or leave me a comment below. Please note that shipping is calculated based on the dollar amount of your order since I have no way of knowing how much your actual order will weigh. When I know the exact amount, I will give you a refund if you were overcharged for shipping. If the cost of shipping is more than what you paid, I will pay it for you.

We went out to dinner on Saturday evening, so I wore my favorite black pieces from the Basics Collection again. The wide strap tank top with the ankle pants are my go to items. I always take them with me when we travel, and I wear this combination often when we go out in the evening because I can add any of my jackets or toppers over them. I toss the pieces in the cold water wash with all the other darks and then hang them up to dry. Easy!

The sheer sleeve and sheer panels jacket by IC Collection is from ShopMyFairLady.com. I bought this one last year, so I don’t think they still have it. You can use the code “Peaches” to get a 15% discount off your whole order from ShopMyFairLady.com through the month of July. The pearl necklace is this one by French Kande. The clutch bag is a couple of years old as are the suede fringe sandals by BCBGeneration.

The life size bear statue in the park is one of my favorite bronzes on the campus of Lees–McRae College in Banner Elk.

  1. Where on your site do you find your new navy basics collection? I check your site and blog, but didn’t see an announcement about this. Thank you!

  2. Would love to see this collection in black in petite sizes. For those of us with short waists, short arms and short legs.

  3. Could you tell me what size you wear in the top & pants? Think we are about same size & body type. I’ve enjoyed your blog for several yrs and have learned to dress with more basic pieces. I want to get the navy set. Thanks for your blog. It has helped me so much in spending less $ on my wardrobe. I live in Virginia & love the area around Abingdon too. Have you ever done the Va Creeper Trail on a bike? I would like to try it, but I am 10 yrs older than you.

    1. You can do the VA Creeper Trail! Get the bus to take you and your bike to the top of the mountain. Coast down at your own pace while stopping to enjoy all the beautiful and interesting spots along the way. Have fun!

I wear a size medium in the basic tank tops and a size small in the basic pants (both the straight leg and the one with the ankle pants). I am so glad that what I share has helped you save money!

  4. Thank you for your kindness and honesty in sharing your life experiences. I really enjoy your blog and look forward to every new posting. If possible I would like to see the jacket on a hanger if it would better show the sheer panels you mentioned in its description. Thank you.

  5. Love black & love your outfit. The bear picture was a surprise. I thought you were there somewhere in the ba9.

I blogged for five years as Fifty, not Frumpy. Now that I am in my sixties, I am sharing ideas and inspiration for using and loving what you already have.

Thank you!
