I recently shared the one-thousandth post on my website, so Mr. Mickey suggested we get dressed up and celebrate with a champagne brunch at Gourmet and Company.
Our outfit items are several years old, but if you ask about a specific item in the comments section, I will gladly help you find something similar.
Isn’t he the most dashing and dapper 90-year-old you ever saw?
His famous socks never disappoint. Today, it was the martini socks.
Above is the “Susan” sandwich on the lunch menu. (It’s Named after me!) It includes smashed avocado, pickled red onion, shaved radish, Three Graces Goat’s feta, local seasonal roots and shoots, yogurt green goddess, and toasted honey wheat bread.
The Mountcastle Sandwich includes house-roasted turkey breast, grilled granny smith apple, applewood bacon, melted brie, cranberry mustard, and croissant. The soup of the day was creamy tomato basil.
The cornbread cake with berries and vanilla ice cream is Mr. M’s favorite.
My favorite is the trio of house-made ice creams, but he also gets to enjoy most of my desserts. The first half tastes the same as the last!
After lunch, while he was reading the paper, I took a long walk around the neighborhood, enjoying some of the lovely fall colors.

Could you please do a hair tutorial with products you use and how you style?
I use the shampoo here and conditioner here about twice per week. I use the purple shampoo here a couple of times a month to keep brassiness at bay. I use a vented brush like this one to lift my hair as I randomly blow dry it in sections. The less products and effort I put into my hair the better it behaves.

I’m so proud of you and what you’ve accomplished. I not only enjoy your fashion tips, but love seeing your day and weekend trips with Mr Mickey. Your food tips are an inspiration, as are your daily walks. I particularly love when you take 1 item and put it together with different looks. I also like seeing how you organize your closet. It looks like you have a lot of clothes – just different ones in a more classic look (which I like, too) !
When we travel for a week or longer, I like taking items that can be styled in different ways, so I can take less items. We’ve even been on 2-week trips with nothing but a carry-on apiece !

Finesse. I am not a lover of wide leg pants but those are stunning in white with those gorgeous shoes for a dressy celebratory dining out 1000th. Talking of shoes for once I can’t praise Mr Mickey for his shiny shoes , but Wow those Blue Suede shoes and Champagne socks are the business. You both would look at ease in the fashion city of the world Milano ! I can see you both enjoying a Cappuccino Coffee under a parasol, people watching and the Italian ambiance.
Your celebration meal looks divine , those selection of ice cream look naughty but oh so very nice . .

Lastly your photography skills are very good indeed , you have captured that beautiful sunset with the dark trees in shadow giving the photo a surreal effect , the sky looks as though it has been painted in oils. The other with the autumnal striking colours against a perfect blue sky would make me want to stroll and enjoy Mother Nature at her best.
