Enjoy your blog so much. I learn so many helpful hints.
Beautiful skin, Susan.
Love this outfit! What do u have left in similar scarves??
I’m interested in the scarf you show and the others you still have. Thank you very much!
Dear Susan,
I haven’t seen it in green so far – or has it just escaped my attention? For me – others think green is fine, but I don’t know how to look as good as the purple you wore today?
Thanks. Eva
Are you looking for the top in green?
I always look forward to your posts! They have helped me many times the last 3years. I am 61 and retired. Most days I dress very casually, except for church on Sundays. The area I still have difficulty with is packing for trips. My husband and I are taking vacation next week. We love Asheville and the surrounding areas ( Blowing Rock, Boone, Brevard, Chimney Rock). We love browsing the downtown areas but we also love hiking, chasing waterfalls. I always pack wat too much. Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Elaine
Pack one pair of pants and one shirt for each day. If all the pieces you take with you mix and match, you can throw in a sweater and a jacket to create several different looks. Make sure the shoes and bags you take are for different purposes and comfortable for long walks. (For example out to dinner and shopping in town vs hiking.)
Thank you! Have a blessed day!
You are beautiful and so classic! I just turned 56 and am feeling a bit out of sorts with my clothes & style due to some weight gain around the middle! I love how you are still rocking white pants! I have a pair that I love but felt like I couldn’t wear them after labor day, which is crazy since it was still in the 90’s in Dallas! Thanks for all you share!
Like Phyllis B above, I always learn so many helpful hints from your blog, Susan. Living in Canada brings many temperature changes and I have always suffered from dry flaky skin. Your advice today on how to deal with that is appreciated. Just love the houses in the background of today’s post. Where are they?
I was on the grounds of James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.
What do you have left in your remaining larger scarfs?
Could you kindly give the length of your top? Thank you so much.
It measures 24″ from the shoulder seams to the hemline.
Good Afternoon Susan.
I love the scarf that you are wearing. Could you please share images of scarves that are still available for purchase? Thank you very much.
Ilona
Love the scarf. Can you describe how you tied it and what size it is? You look great as always.
The scarf is 51″ square and silk twill. I folded it on the bias (demo here). Wrap it around your neck twice and loop the ends over once at the front.
I am interested in this scarf and any others you may have.
I am interested in your scarves too!
Hi Susan, I am very interested in the scarf you are wearing in this post. I would appreciate information about buying it. Thank you. Kathleen
I love the scarf in today’s photos! Stylish and snappy! It pops! Do you have any left in your inventory?
I am interested in buying the scarf, if possible.
The eggplant tee looks fabulous on you. And I like the pairing with white jeans. I always thought I was a winter, but now am thinking I am summer.
Do you have any tips for diagnosing which season a person is?
Best,
Sharon
Here is a good article that might help you determine the best colors for you.
I’m interested in that pretty scarf if there are any available.
Hi Susan,
I am interested in the scarf you are wearing with the eggplant colored top in today’s post. Please let me know size and cost& your payment options. Thanks so much! Am so enjoying reading your blogs and seeing all the travel adventure photos.
Hi Susan, I’m interested in seeing the scarves you still have available. Thank you!
Love the scarf you are wearing. If you have any left I would definitely be interested. Susie in Louisana. that blue and pink are my color. I would love to know how you tied it.
I’m sorry, but that scarf has sold out. It is folded on the bias and then wrapped around my neck and tied in the front under the first loop. This video (here) shows the first part. Instead of tucking in, just loop over once.
Asking again, how do you fold your hat when traveling? Having some difficulty.
It is a packable hat. Turn the brim down and fold the hat in half, and place it on top of your clothes in your luggage.
I have a question regarding the sizing on the shapeez bra. I currently wear a 34D but when I measured myself the way they recommend they said to purchase a medium B. I am unsure of this. I measured 35 around and 10 1/4″ cup size. Can you advise me on what to do. Thank you.
I recommend calling Shapeez to discuss your size. Their sizing is not like any other company, but they will be happy to help you.
I am interested in your beautiful scarves, do you still have some in inventory?
What’s your POV about wearing white after Labor Day?
I am most concerned about the weight of the fabric rather than the color. White jeans keep you as warm as faded blue, but they are much smarter looking on a day without precipitation.
Please send info about the scarves you have left.
Carol Young
Beautiful colours on you Susan! I also wear cool colours best (summer) and am interested in silk scarves you have left in your now closed shop- colours as appropriate. Thank you.
Please send information regarding the scarves you have in inventory.
Thank you
Susan, I have been meaning to thank you for the gift of your blog for many years. Your previous blog on solo travel was extra special to me because my husband has serious health challenges and I may be travelling solo sooner than later.I try to be positive about the possibility of being alone but sometimes the worry about it is overwhelming. You set such a fine example of living successfully and happily on your own. Thank you very much for your honesty and generosity in sharing your wealth of knowledge and experiences.I feel very lucky to have found you.
Thank you for your comment. I hope that you find solo travel to be as much of a joy as I do. May your sweet memories give you peace as you create new ones.
I would like to know the prices of Beautycounter shampoo and conditioner as well as the body lotion and oil…also the lipstick. And how do I order? I have hair just like yours and the same color, and curls.
Click on the blue links in my post to learn more about each item, including how to use it and the price. You pay for your purchase on that site. Thank you!
Susan,
I love the scarf you have on. Can I get one of those please.
You inspire me at age 68.
Thanks,
Kathy Darr
I’m sorry, Kathy. That scarf is now sold out.
Please send me your scarf information.
Thank you!
Dear Susan,
Yes, I would like to know what accessories you would wear for a pine sweater!
Best Regards: Év
It all depends on the sweater style and weight of the knit. A scarf could be a lovely addition.
Since your scarves are no longer available do you have any other stores/sites you recommend?
I still have scarves. I will send you pictures of them and payment info.
Dear Susan, Could you send me the details about purchasing the gorgeous animal print scarf you are wearing?
Thank you,
Delbra
I’m sorry, but that scarf is now sold out. I’ll send you an email to show what remains.
When I make a mistake in buying anything including clothes for my closet, I immediately get rid of it. I don’t want to feel guilty every time I see it. I am frugal by nature so it’s painful but in the long run its better for me. It might be perfect for someone else. Goodwill is full of my mistakes but I’m doing better and thinking before I buy now so they are getting less from me.
I love the color of this top and the scarf is beautiful. You look so trim and graceful in everything you wear.
I am interested in your scarf with red in it.Let me know what is available. Thanks. Martha
Absolutely beautiful! I live in Palm Desert, Ca. a transplanted East Coast person, love all the pictures and greenery!! Thank you. Sandra Almy
Susan I happened upon you on utube first and then found your blog. I enjoy reading your blog. I just wanted to say that the matching of the sweater and the scarf are stunning. The colors in the scarf pop with the sweater. Thanks. Denise
Susan,
I have been following your blog for about a year now. I love seeing your fashion tips! Your advice is always well thought out and down to earth. I’m a scarf “nut” so I would greatly appreciate you sending some info on your remaining scarves.
Thank you,
Bev Edkins
Thank you for your fb page. I’m 72 and although I’m larger and older, I’m still attentive to my appearance. I love your link and suggestions. Just because I’m older doesn’t mean I have to give up my love for clothes and “playing dress-up”. I just received my first “Shapeez” top and love the look it gives me. I’d love to see you scarves.
You look lovely, and, as always, you do it your way. Inspirational. Could you please tell me the dimensions of the scarf you are wearing, and instructions as well about how to tie it. It looks so posh, so sophisticated.
Sorry. I just read an earlier comment that answered my question.
If that scarf is available, I would love to buy it.
I’m sorry, Gayle. That style is sold out now.
I’d also love to know what scarves are still available. I should have taken action & purchased when your store was up & running! The colors are so vibrant & the way you wear them is inspiring!
I hope you and Mr. Mickey had a nice Thanksgiving 🙂
If possible could you send me pictures of some of your scarves. I am a summer as far as colour palettes.
I appreciate all your efforts at publishing these postings.
I haven’t found similar tops in my area in Ontario, CA yet but I am content to wait until I do find them.
Thank you so much Susan.
Jacqui
Love the look (as always!). Do you still have one of those scarves in your inventory?
I love your updates, Susan, but I can’t for love or money get your links to work! Is anyone else reporting this issue, and do you have suggestions to correct the problem? Thanks!
It may be that you have pop-ups blocked or very high-security filters or settings.
Susan,
I would appreciate it if you would email me photos of the scarves you have remaining in your inventory. Thank you in advance.
Pat Shaw
Look for an email in a few moments.
You look so lovely! (always) I would love to know how you got the scarf tied that way.
Fold a 51″ scarf in a big triangle. Place the middle at your throat and wrap the ends around the back of your neck and then bring them back to the front. Tie the ends making a knot underneath and adjust the drape to your liking.
Hi Susan. I love your scarves. Where do you find them? The colors are perfect for me.
I love your scarves! Can you tell me where I can purchase them?
I’ll send you an email right away.
Do you have any of the beautiful scarves shown in your blog left?
