Wine on The Wine Tour

I thought it would be appropriate to wear this merlot colored top on the last day of our winery and vineyard tour.

You often ask me about luggage and packing. I bought this little carry-on bag by CalPac from T.J.Maxx a couple of years ago, and it sure makes travel easier. The small black hatbox type bag was a gift with purchase from Lancome. I carry my toiletries and cosmetics in it. I also take a hanging bag to bring jackets and anything else that I don’t want to fold.

The first vineyard we visited on Sunday was Herrera Vineyards, on the way out of town. The grounds were well-manicured, and the view was beautiful. They had a nice restaurant and bar area, but we weren’t hungry yet, so we look forward to trying their food on our next visit.

On the way to Chateau Morrisette Winery and Restaurant, we stopped at some interesting sites along the way.

We enjoyed tasting a few of their best wines at the winery, and then we had a delicious late lunch in the restaurant.

We often share dishes so that we can try more than one. This small wild mushroom bruschetta was superb!

The view from the restaurant is fabulous! I stood out on the deck to take these photos, but this is what we saw from all the windows at our table.

As we were preparing to leave, we met this delightful young couple from Roanoke. We always enjoy chatting with other travelers.

At the end of another perfect day, we drove off into the sunset, planning our next fun weekend.
