If I can’t think of at least three different ways to wear a garment I am considering, I don’t purchase it. One trick show ponies are not welcome here. In this series of posts, I will show you five different ways to wear the navy crepe tank dress from my shopping site.
A question I get very often is what to wear as a guest at a wedding. I do not like to wear a knee-length dress nor do I wish to show my arms, so this midi-length tank dress is an excellent option. The neckline is flattering and the hemline stops at the most slender part of my leg. A variety of different toppers or short jackets can be layered over it to get different looks for any occasion.
Here, I added the navy topper from this post. The navy colors are very much in the same tone but the fabrics are different, and the white banding on the topper breaks up the solid color. The Bandolino nude pumps are more than five years old. The clutch bag is from Saks Off 5th a few seasons ago. I purchased the pearl necklace from French Kande here.
Ironically there was a wedding taking place at my favorite little church in the area.
The body style of the tank dress is shown in black above. It is the perfect classic style because it skims the body without hugging too tight. The crepe fabric flows smoothly and stretches. It also has surface texture so it is cool and the light bounces off it so that every lump, bump, and ripple doesn’t show. I receive shipments of these crepe items from the Flordia based designer/manufacturer every week. You will never have to wait for more than a few days for your items to arrive.
The Shapeez slip bra shown above certainly helps to make dresses look much better. A smooth foundation is always the right place to start!
The side by side photos for this series will appear at the end of each blog post this week. My sincere thanks to Mr. Mickey who gave up more than three hours of his Saturday afternoon to stand out in ninety-degree heat taking the photos for this project. The images had to be taken in full sun due to time constraints.
