Keep It Simple

Warm weather has been elusive for us this spring. I was so happy to wear something light and bright to dinner on a recent evening spared from the rain.

The tunic was from Clara Sunwoo last year. This year’s styles are here. My favorite bra is the Ultimate by Shapeez. My white pull-on jeans are here. A similar pair of Sam Edelman sandals with a lower heel are here. (My sandals are a couple of years old.) A similar clutch is here.

  1. you are always so inspirational. you always look ladylike yet current and very attractive- I have seen plenty of women our age who do not have ANY idea how to dress to achieve that balance. you look interesting, like you are actively engaged in the wonderful complex world we live in , yet you exude Class, where so many women don’t. Bravo You !!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I purchased two of your scarves. They are beautiful quality. I was wondering how you store them. Do you fold them or hang them.

  3. I have just discovered your website Susan–and I love it! I have gotten sooo many tips from you—from makeup to clothes to packing for a trip. I am 79 years young, and the old saying “you’re never too old” is spot on!!
    Thanks Susan

  4. The colour of your top is very becoming on you. With respect to the scarves, they are beautiful and am wondering if you ever wear them fashioned as a (makeshift) shrug by folding them in half lengthwise, tying each end together to form (end) loop-holes that you can slip your arms into.? (Difficult to describe but I’m sure you get the idea.) -Brenda-
P.S.: I’m a big fan of ‘shrugs’ preferably long sleeved ones to wear even during the summer, as sometimes find it cold in air conditioned environments like the freezer aisle in grocery stores ….. brrr ….. so as a ‘hobby sewer’ I have quite a few of casual ones to slip over my short sleeved or sleeveless tops. Hopefully this isn’t too much information and do apologize if it is.

  5. I am new to pintress.i really enjoy seeing the way you put clothes together.my kind of style.!

  7. Thank you, Susan, for all you do to keep us inspired and informed here. Because of your story, I began to look into plant based eating, and as a result have lost 27 pounds so far! This week I went to my favourite Ladies Dress Shoppe and bought a new wardrobe. In January, I had purchased Size 18. In July, I purchased Size 10!!! I could not believe the slim new me I saw in the mirror. Thank you so very much. I could not be more thrilled.

  8. Hi Susan, are any of your scarves available for purchase? They are so pretty and love the vibrant colors.
