I lost my basics clothing supplier, so I am closing my shopping site. All the clothing items (here) are now marked down to cost. A few crepe basics are still available in small sizes.

Thank you very much for shopping with me for the past few years. I’m happy to ship worldwide.

      1. After retiring recently myself I hope you can enjoy this time of your life. It’s awesome! I do so enjoy and look forward to your blog. You have helped me more than you know. I struggled with my choice of clothes for a long time. You have helped make this area of my life very simple. My closet no longer intimidates me. Thank you lovely lady.

  1. I’m sorry to see your shopping site close- I haven’t bought much, but what I did purchase has great quality and style. I always think of you when wearing the items. Lol. Thanks again.

  2. Nooooooooooooo! I’m really going to miss your scarves.

Seriously, however, I’m glad you’re able to retire after all these years and enjoy your days. I pray you never stop blogging. I would pay for a subscription for your wisdom, knowledge & experience. I’ve saved tons of money and frustration with your recommendations.

  3. I recently “discovered” your website. I am in my late 60’s, and so appreciate all of your style tips. I look at your various pic posts and such on Pinterest. I hope you’re not going anywhere and will still be posting frequently, as I have come to enjoy your ideas and tips. I’ve even started saving many of your pics as my inspiration. As a matter of fact, for Easter, I am going to wear white on white (top and pants) with a colorful kimono, all items I have in my closet. I never realized how fashionable I can look with some things I already own. Thank you for your inspiration, and hope to keep seeing you.

    1. Thank you for the lovely comment, Arlene. I’m so glad that you’ve found inspiration in what I share. I hope to produce better blog content now that I will be able to focus all of my attention on it for the first time. (I’ve had two (or more) jobs for the past twenty years.)

  4. I laughed when I read your comment to Arlene about “better” blog posts. I think your blog is fantastic now! You do a great job and have helped and inspired so many women. Not only in clothing but, all areas of life. Thank you Susan for the time an energy you put into this! I have learned so much from you.
Happy Easter to you and yours!

  5. I just can’t count how many times I have read and re-read your site on fashion tips, nutrition, health, and beauty. It’s something I look forward to every day. My husband even makes fun of me and sometimes calls me Susan! (Only he and I understand that little bit of humor!) Truly, you have been an inspiration to me. Through you, I have finally found the knowledge and confidence I need to look and feel my best. I can relate to so many of your experiences through travel, exercise, and keeping up with daily responsibilities. I am looking forward to moving into my retirement years with you at my side. A best friend type of person that I have learned so much from and have never even met in person. I haven’t found anyone else that is worth following and that I can relate to like I have with you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and keeping your commitment to us all. Keep up the great work – I’m sure, the best is yet to come!

  6. Susan, I am so sorry to hear that you are closing your shopping site as I’m sure you poured your heart and soul into it the last few years.
Getting to know you from following your blog for so many years, I’m sure you will reinvent yourself and launch another project. I love that women our age are rediscovering passions and reinventing themselves. I went back to work at the age of 64 after being retired for a few years, and in a new industry, and I’m loving the challenges. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes you. Hugs, Yvonne

  7. I have worn and enjoyed every item I purchased from your site, and also appreciated the excellent customer service. I’m sorry to lose that shopping resource, but grateful that your blog continues.

  8. Susan, I’m so glad I found your site and was able to purchase quite a few scarves before you decided to close down the shop. Have not seen anything nearly as nice in stores nor for the price point. It’s a shame. But maybe slowing down a little will leave you with some R & R time. And, yes, please keep blogging. This weekend I had 3 sister-in-laws in town and shared your site with them and about everything I’ve learned from you. They were awestruck. So I know your blog is only going to grow. I save every post in a file and am always going back to it. My appearance in clothes, makeup, everything has changed since I found you about a year ago. I will always feel blessed to have found it and am grateful for your sharing what you’ve learned over the years with us. You are a very classy lady. God bless.

  9. Hey Susan, I’m always delighted to see what you are up to, and how you come up with all the wonderful looks. I made your recipe for the second time last night for the hummus, to enjoy. I’m looking forward to following you, as long as you are available. Best on your next venture.

  10. Susan, I’m sorry you lost your supplier. Your selection of scraves were outstanding & I’m disappointed that I didn’t buy more! I enjoyed the shopping site, I’ll miss it! Thank you also for the blog site. You give thoughtful, honest and practical information to make us look our best. You are a good friend to many!

  11. It’s fun to read all of the comments this early morning. I took advantage of your offer a few days ago and purchased two scarves – after a very long time of reading your blog posts, following along on your Facebook page and, finally deciding that I had better purchase a few while they’re still available. So looking forward to receiving them!

And, like everyone else who has thanked you for ALL that you’ve done and will continue to do for “the rest of us,” thank you. You’ve created an inspirational, thoughtful and fun lifestyle blog that challenges women to keep a lively interest in putting our best selves out there.

    1. Thank you for the lovely comment, Kathy. I enjoy hearing from readers and learn from you as well. It would be a very lonely job without this connection.

I’m grateful that you shopped with me.

I blogged for five years as Fifty, not Frumpy. Now that I am in my sixties, I am sharing ideas and inspiration for using and loving what you already have.

Thank you!
